Create a Bookmark

Bookmarks in Mono Mail allow you to save your frequently used queries for quick access. Follow these steps to create a bookmark.

Step 1: Open the Sidebar or Use a Shortcut

You can create a bookmark in two ways:

Using the Sidebar:

Click the "+" button next to the "Bookmark" section in the sidebar.

Using a Shortcut:

Press ⌘+D (Mac) or Ctrl+D (Windows) to open the bookmark creation dialog.

Step 2: Write a Query

In the bookmark dialog, type the search query you want to save. For example:

  • from:Mono to search for all emails sent by Mono.
  • label:Important to find emails marked as important.

Step 3: Set a Name

After writing the query, set a descriptive name for your bookmark. For instance:

  • Emails from Mono
  • Important Emails

This name will appear in the sidebar for easy identification.

Step 4: (Optional) Set an Icon

You can optionally assign an icon to your bookmark to visually differentiate it from others. Click the "Set Icon" option and choose an icon that suits your bookmark.

Step 5: Save the Bookmark

Click the "Save" button to finalize the bookmark creation. Your new bookmark will now appear in the "Bookmark" section of the sidebar.

Step 6: Access Your Bookmark

Click on the newly created bookmark in the sidebar to instantly run the saved query. This makes it easy to repeatedly access specific email groups without retyping the query.

Notes: You can edit or delete bookmarks by right-clicking on them in the sidebar. Bookmarks are synced across devices if you're signed into your account.
